FAMILY THERAPY

"That which is created in a relationship can be fixed in a. relationship" - Murray Bowen

Our family affects who we become, both for the better and for worse. From our family members, we learn rituals, habits, communication patterns and ways to maintain relationships. At times, we may also acquire faulty patterns of dealing with the world, from our family members.

Family therapy helps the whole family to learn healthy communication patterns, resolve conflicts and make the family environment more supportive.

At our centre, this workshop is very well received by professionals working in the field of mental health, and is extremely beneficial in all areas of practise.

EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY

"The aim of art is not to represent the outer appearance of things, but their inward significance". - Aristotle

Expressive arts therapies are an amalgamation of psychotherapy and creative processes to support the process of healing. It comprises of techniques generally used in music, dance and movement, theatre, art and craft, storytelling and poetry to help the client explore and communicate his inner emotional world.

Expressive art therapy is used with children, adults in group and individual counselling sessions. It does not require any prior training or experience in any of the art forms. It just uses art as a way to explore the issues the client is facing. It goes beyond the traditional psychotherapy and allows the client to use multiple senses to explore his inner and outer world.
